Are you fed up using your OpenLearn account, and as such you wish to cancel (close) or even deactivate your account?
If the above is the case then don’t bother because here is the right place where you can learn how to cancel (close) or even deactivate your account.
There are various reasons why you may wish to delete your Open University account among all of them is email spamming by the company.
Meanwhile, for your academic email address you’ll need to know your OUCU (OU computer username). You’ll find this on emails the OU has sent you and you might have already used it to sign in to your OU account. You can also find it in your contact details.
How To Delete Open University Account | OpenLearn Account
If you would like to delete your account, simply follow these steps below:
Step 1. Go to the following URL “http://www.open.ac.uk/contact/new” and fill in the form.
Step 2. There is an option under ‘Subject of query’ called ‘Delete online account’, if you tick this box your request will be forwarded to the correct department.
NOTE: Be aware that deleting your profile will remove any badges you may have earned, and remove all records of your activity on OpenLearn. It is not reversible, once the profile is deleted, it can’t be re-instated. If you have any questions about this or need help deleting your profile, please send an email to openlearn@open.ac.uk.
Note, you can also delete your account by sending an email to the company, requesting them to delete your account from their database.
Therefore, follow these steps below:
Step 1. Open your email account that is registered with the application or website.
Step 2. Now compose an email and enter the email address openlearn@open.ac.uk.
Step 3. In the Subject section, type “REQUEST TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT”.
Step 4. Now write an email requesting them to delete your account from their database, and to wipe all your information with them, if any.
