How To Delete TreasuryDirect Account
To access your Treasury Direct account, simply open your Internet browser (for example, google chrome) and type www.treasurydirect.gov in the address window. On the TreasuryDirect home page, in the upper right corner, select “Open an Account.”
Follow these steps below to delete an existing bank account:
Step 1. Click “Add” to access instructions to enter a new bank account.
Step 2. Click “Edit” to access instructions to update existing bank information.
Step 3. Select the radio button next to the entry you want to remove and click “Delete” to delete an existing bank account. If you have pending transactions that are using this bank for payments or a source of funds, you must designate a new bank account.
Step 4. Click “Cancel” to return to your previous page.
