How To Delete Wealthsimple Account
To delete your account, simply submit a request to their Relationship Management team and they ‘ll help you out.
To do this, follow these steps below:
Step 1. Go to the following URL “https://my.wealthsimple.com/app/login”
Step 2. Log into your account.
Step 3. Click on your name given at the top right corner then Account -> Withdrawl. Withdraw the remaining balance in your account and above all, make sure your account balance is $0.
Step 4. Now go to the following URL “https://my.wealthsimple.com/app/settings/profile”
Step 5. Click on DEACTIVATE PROFILE which is located at the bottom section of the profile page.
Step 6. Now, your account is going to be deactivated.
Meanwhile, as per the compliance of the income tax act of Government of Canada your account will only be permanently deleted from their database after seven years of account deletion (deactivation).
Note, you can only delete your account by sending an email to the company, requesting them to delete your account from their database.
Therefore, follow these steps below:
Step 1. Open your email account that is registered with the application or website.
Step 2. Now compose an email and enter the email address support@wealthsimple.com
Step 3. In the Subject section, type “REQUEST TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT”.
Step 4. Now write an email requesting them to delete your account from their database, and to wipe all your information with them, if any.
